WELCOME
I will let the work speak for itself, in the way that we sense things in silences.
There are things better left unsaid, after all.
West Texas
Whine Down
In the land of Texas there are sunsets that are simply bigger and better along with barbed wire flat lands for as far as the eye can’t see. A very dear family member of mine pulled over to capture this one with a camera outside of Dallas one evening. It was magnificent enough to try and do it justice with a paint brush.
Pigmons Petals
“Imagination is more important than knowledge,” was one of the many things Einstein said that took me a minute but eventually kicked on the light bulb. This piece reminds me of that. If you ever find yourself in a part of this beautiful world where this image is the closest thing that can resemble the idea of a tree that is noticeable for endless visible miles in every direction then I might have a good idea of how “beautiful west” you are in the great state of Texas. The neighboring ranch to my Maw n Paw’s spread up the road has this fine man made “timberesque” tower still supplying water to the livestock today. Also let the record show that my sweet Aunt Vick loves her some windmills so I got her one…

A first portrait attempt of a family member I shared very little time with that has advanced forward into the next level much earlier than expected. From what I am told the caliber and power of his character, morality, respect, and physical stature were as pinnacle as too many of us don’t even consider to possess let alone be held accountable to in the way that Heath did. This world could never have too many “Heath’s” in it.
Steve's Dale Hollow
When I first looked at this image I just assumed it was an aerial shot taken from the cargo door of a helicopter. I then became friends with one of my many great neighbors to discover it was actually the morning view from his lakeside multi level back deck that he captured with his phone while I was capturing it with my own eyes. It’s a spectacular location that still brings me to a pause every time I’m there. Thank you Steve.

So one of my dearest friends that cares about me and for me opened up another one of his massively successful locations of El Patio in Oklahoma, like he does, was expanding his dining room area to accommodate the demand for his loyal customers, commissioned me to pair the color scheme of the existing artistic flavors but with unique identifiable illustrations of the specific geographical location which happens to be in Weatherford Oklahoma which is a rural map dot town off Route 66 that impressively has an unknown space museum there. This significantly aeronautical oddity is how these murals of space explorations and Mexican food collide into the images that were created. Noel. Thank you. The best Reposado in Oklahoma is in Weatherford. If you are unsure how….then go there…..the bar manager that is also from the beautiful state of Jalisco might actually tell you why…….but probably not.
All of the images depicted are actual landmarks and objects still on display today.
Sidecar Sunset
This picture was taken in the summer. Previous to an art & wine festival celebration in the old continental building in downtown Eastland, Texas. I was riding in the hill country of west Texas on the sidecare motorcycle capturing photos of the sunset and moonlit skies through the object of a wineglass and this is the sunset outside of Ranger, Texas, just a few miles from my brother's house.

My great grandfather purchased this land to raise livestock and our family sight unseen which is now owned and operated by my Maw, Paw, and father. The biggest sky for miles with colors that are even more vibrant than the colors you see here. I took this photo right outside the front door of the house on the ranch and captured it for my Maw to see from inside the house.

I believe we all come to a place at some point in our lives where we determine which specific creature manifests our own unique “spirit” better than any of the others out there that we become aware of and I feel as though the more authentic you are about your selection of that “animal” the more interesting the spirit becomes. With the help of a children’s book, a claymation film, and more than a few similarities in behavioral patterns my spirit animal can only be a Fox. From infancy to present day whatever the reasons or circumstances are or have been, relocating has always been a constant. So this nomadic life has become familiar. The life of “only temporary.” The life of an “urban-drifter.” The life of an “allusive not so sly Fox.” The life of a damn wild animal. I will acknowledge that it has been rather “Fantastic” at times. This piece is a symbol to remind me to keep that “spirit”alive.
